Our church has recently been through an extensive process of being led by God and listening to each other. The result is that we have a vision for people from our communities being transformed through the power of faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ. We exist for three reasons that guide our energy and decision-making: to love God, love people, and make disciples of Jesus who do the same.

Why we exist
To love God, love people & make disciples of Jesus who do the same.
This is our vision statement. This is the outcome of what we long for God to do in our community. Everything we do is focused towards introducing people to Jesus and giving opportunities for God’s power to change them. Our community includes people in our lives: in the church, in our homes, our neighbours, our colleagues, our friends and those we socialise with.
We believe the restorative power of God is life changing and something that everyone needs to experience. Titus 3:5 says “he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”
What we long to see
To see people of our communities transformed through the power of faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ.
We live our lives focused on God. His is the centre of everything we do. The outward flow of our love for God is our love for others. Jesus said in Mark 12:30-31, “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
We also want others to experience the fullness of God. Matthew 28:19-20 says “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
A disciple of Jesus is someone who believes in Jesus and seeks to follow him in his or her daily life.
Who we are
A Community of Jesus’ disciples
Central to this becoming reality is that we form a community of Jesus’ disciples who are:
Passionately loving God through regular and devoted:
- Prayer – personally and together;
- Reading, teaching, applying and living out God’s Word;
- Humble dependence upon the Holy Spirit; and
- Expressions of Worship – personally and together.
We are a church community that wants to continue to develop our relationship and love for God. We do this through daily prayer, reading and understanding the bible and worship to him. Worship is the act of giving glory to God. We also undertake these acts together in our Connect Groups and during our services. We believe worshipping in a community assists in bringing us closer to God.
Practically loving people by:
- Welcoming everyone;
- Journeying and sharing our lives together;
- Serving others; and
- Loving people as God loves us.
We are inclusive and non-judgemental. We welcome everyone to experience MBC. We want to walk with people on their life journey. We show love to each other by practically serving.
Making disciples who:
- Develop intentional relationships;
- Connect people with other followers of Jesus;
- Share the Gospel;
- Equip new believers; and
- Make disciples in their communities.
We have seen the transformative power of Jesus in our lives and in the lives of those around us that we want to share the good news of Jesus with everyone we meet. We also want to train and equip people to be able to share the good news of Jesus in their communities.
