Young Adults

Mitcham Baptist Church Young Adults love hanging out, having fun connecting with one another as well as exploring who Jesus is and how He is relevant to our lives.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

We do life together by engaging in our weekly worship services at 6PM every Sunday night which is followed by supper afterwards. We also have Bible Studies which run throughout the week and monthly social events that range from Pool Parties and Laser Strike to Museum Trips and Board Game nights. There is always something for everyone to enjoy!

Prayer Groups

As well as encouraging all believers to be praying individually at all times, we greatly value every opportunity for corporate Prayer times. These take place on various days and times during the week.

State Youth Games

State Youth Games is a sport, art, and camping event like no other for youth and young adults across Victoria. You and your friends are invited to camp for the weekend, play sport in a welcoming environment suitable for all skill levels, and explore new ways of looking at life and faith in an inclusive and open Christian community.

The Big LAN

We recognise that different people connect in different ways. Therefore, as well as reaching out to the sports communities we want to engage with the gaming community also. Overseen by one of our Young Adults Jacob Rayment and his team, The Big LAN seeks to bring ‘gamers’ together from all over the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne to connect with one another for a 12 hour gaming session.

Young Adults Bible Study

During the week there are different weekly and fortnightly YA Connect Group options available on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights also. This is where we come together in smaller groups to catch up with each other, discuss how our lives are going, and spend time looking into what the Bible has to say on different topics and how it relates to our lives today.
