CRT Update 23/09/2021

The Covid Response Team met this week to begin applying the recently announced government roadmap as it applies to MBC.  We are attempting to work through implications for Christians and applications of it to our church.  Because the indicative dates for openings are at least a month away and we all know that things often change at the last minute, we are continuing to exercise caution before announcing opening dates, etc.  We also need to signal that there may be different requirements for attendance at services and ministries compared with previous openings.  One of these implications is the roadmap’s requirement for attendees to be double vaccinated.  We appreciate that this may affect some in our church more than others and strongly encourage you to discuss the health implications of vaccination with your doctor soon, not only for attendance at MBC activities but for defence against the coming increase in transmission of covid in society as things open-up. The CRT is committed to applying principles based on building unity, caring for the vulnerable and respect for all people.  This may even mean creating a small, extra service in a local park for a few months for those who cannot attend a service indoors.  The Elders and Pastors want to support and care for you pastorally and spiritually and are of course available for prayer and a listening ear.
