Covid-19 Update

MBC COVID Response Team 12 November 2020 The CRT met this week to consider and apply the recent changes by the government. There is more good news with the government further relaxing the restrictions. This will allow us to have church services onsite again. We are aiming for this to occur from the 29th November and are working through how we can do this, whilst complying with all the government requirements.  How we do Church will look a bit different: – there will be…

COVID-19 Update

COVID Response Team 26th October 2020 The CRT met this week to consider and apply the recent changes by the government.  At last there is some positive news developing for us!  The first point that we all need to make however, is the need for all of us to strictly abide by the MBC Covidsafe Policy and government rules whenever we meet as MBC groups onsite or offsite.  This involves distancing, facemasks, sanitising, signing-in and signing-out and following the Covidsafe…

COVID-19 Update

The COVID Response Team met again this week.  Given that we are in the middle of a level 4 lockdown there has been nothing much that we can decide or communicate.  In essence, here is where things stand: The church office is completely closed.  Staff are legally required to work from home.  That said, each of the team are working away and are available by phone. The only people permitted to attend the church building are those personnel rostered on…

COVID-19 Update

We are pleased to announce the decision by the Church Leadership to re-open the church premise from the start of Term 3 13th July 2020) in certain circumstances. This is inline with the easing of restrictions from the State and Federal Governments and advice from the BUV.  We have developed a number of measures to allow this to happen including changes to the entrance and entry of the premises, like sign in and out sheets for contact tracing, cleaning requirements for the…

COVID-19 Update

The COVID Response Team have met this week in light of new announcements from the State and Federal Governments and advice from the BUV. CRT noted that while there is some, minimal lessening of restrictions for certain categories of gatherings, the responsibilities on the church for any activities on site has actually increased.  For example, the church now needs to maintain a register and contact details for all people who visit the church property, supply hand sanitiser and ensure that…
