CRT Update 15/07/2022
This week Australians and Victorians have been requested to wear masks in indoor settings. While this is not a ‘requirement’ it is a strong suggestion and carries particular weight because it is endorsed by the Chief Health officers and is for the benefit of our public health system. Therefore, the CRT endorses the wearing of masks indoors at MBC wherever practical. The following is not compulsory but strongly recommended. Easter Services
Please join us at Simla Street for our Easter Friday and Resurrection Sunday services, both starting at 9:30am. Ian Beaman will be sharing on the Friday morning and our very own Mal Hosken will be sharing on Sunday morning. Please come and celebrate as we remember and praise Jesus Christ for the completed work he accomplished on the cross.
COVID-19 – Important Message
MBC has recently become aware that some people who attended the 9:30am service on Sunday 16th January 2022 have since tested positive to COVID-19. It is believed that COVID-19 was contracted prior to attendance at MBC. Under the current Government guidelines, all social contacts have been notified. MBC Carols 2021
MBC invites you to join us at our annual Christmas carols event for 2021. This year we have organizing a smaller more intimate event for families and friends of the MBC church community. We encourage everyone to invite their family and friends and bring dinner at 5pm, with carols beginning at 6pm. The Covid Response Team met this week to begin applying the recently announced government roadmap as it applies to MBC. We are attempting to work through implications for Christians and applications of it to our church. All other church programs must also abide by the new rules. We anticipate issuing new CRT guidelines as soon as possible, depending on future government regulations. There have been some further easing of restrictions which means we are getting closer to pre-lockdown conditions: Church will be on again this Sunday in person and online and the cap of number of people we are allowed to have in person has been significantly increased.
